"To protect the community by fostering a culture of safety through comprehensive CPR and AED awareness training, enabling rapid and effective response to cardiac emergencies."
"at the Heart of the Game" was founded by Anna Pim during lockdown when she reflected on a friend who survived a cardiac arrest.
The next two years saw Anna make a huge impact throughout the hockey family in Northern Ireland.
She came up with an idea, branded it, gathered a support network around her, sought funding, raised money, liaised with governing bodies and organisations.
Delivering awareness training around hockey clubs, Anna empowered over 300 young people with the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR and use a defibrillator in the event of a cardiac arrest.
Anna upskilled her first aid knowledge, attended a start-up programme and launched her business. This time, not just educating the youth in hockey clubs but “at the Heart of the Game” now facilitates all sports, businesses, community groups and organisations.
